Default Break Upgrade - WHEN?

We all like to fine tune our stangs. At what point do we need to upgrade our breaks.

I just bought a 2006 GT with a Roush conversion and mod chip (350HP) on stock breaks. Should I be concerned?

Mostly people who roadrace their cars are concerned with upgraded brakes. In roadracing you're on your brakes a LOT and stock brakes fade badly when they get overheated.

Street driving, no worries. Even if you dragrace, the stock brakes are decent enough. If you're just looking for some braking BLING then paint your calipers

Stock brakes work beautiful, but don't do it time after time under a lot of use. Most people don't need to upgrade brakes, only to replace pads and machine rotors when those get abbraised. However, if you're into it,brake upgradingis an excellent mod.

Thanks guys. That realy puts my mind at ease. I do plan on going with red calipers in time. I did not know I could just paint them. That is an excelent option.
