So...over the next few months im plannin on finally building my stang up to about 600 steet hp and 900-1000 track hp. but i have no idea on which direction to go wit the tranny. thinking of an auto...anyone know how hard it would be, or possible, to fit a c-4 or c-6? good reliable companies etc..? or any companies that sell a 4r70w conversion kit for the GTs wit the T45?

depends what car your putting it in, they make bell housings to put just about any tranny you want into any car, for example, my friends 03 cobra has a turbo 350 trans in it, just look for the bell housing, make sure the input shaft has the same amount of splines as the crank, and viola

 

Crank doesnt have splines...

Depends on how you plan on making the power. A C-4 can be built to handle it but $$$. A C-6 would be cheaper, but slower. A glide would work too, but it all depends on the power band.

 

ya, i got a 2000GT and im plannin on a vortech V-7 YSi....so the power band would be high in the rpm range... got a v2 strim for it now, but need to get a couple more ponies
