Default What to use?? Door Trim

One door on my 87 fox body is missing the trim. The door itself has a little leftover of whatever they used befor to keep it secure. I just wanted to know if anyone has had to put a door trim on, and what did you use.?. Never delt with body before, so new to me, thanks.

Also should I sand off the old adhesive before applying new, >? Help would be appreciated. Thanks

they're held on with double sided tape. most auto parts stores should have it. it's used for moldings and emblems.

i don't know if you have to sand the old stuff off. you could probably just scrape it off and then use some goo gone or something.

i wouldnt use goo gone that stuffs real oily (the tape wont stick). you could use it but then you'd have to clean the oil off with alcohol. i'd just scrape it off and clean the residue off with alcohol

(anytime u put that tape on stuff u wanna clean the surface to get any oil or dirt off so the tape has a good place to stick to)
