Default Hp and Torque

My understanding is that Horsepower and Torque lines on a graph will always cross at 5252rpm,because torque is what is measured on a dyno and then Hp is calculated by Torque x rpm devided by 5252.But on page 171 of the November issue of 5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords there is an add by Comp Cams and the graph has the lines crossing at around 4300rpm,plus the graphs just don't look right.Must be the guy who made the addisn't a gear head. But you would think they would be a little more carefull about the details.

Your, of course, right about hp and torque always being the same at 5252. It just goes to show you not to believe all the hype in mags, although you can still learn alot from them... just don't always believe the hp #s, especially from those companies that advertise with them

Take a manufacturers HP gain and chop it in half, that's why you would see on a dyno.
