Default power windows for 1999 conv. v6

Hey Guys Im hoping anyone here can give some advice. I own a 99 v6 convertible and recently heard a clunk from the driver side door after closing it behind me. As it turns out my window motor disengaged from the assembly. The motor made lots of noise spinning around but no window action. Tonight I tore it apart ( God the agony) and took a peek at what i have. I was able to reassemble it to its rightful location and have yet to place it back in the door. What im concerned is that this may happen all over again and I'll have to take it out again. Any idea what may have happened? The teeth appear to be engaged fine but when its at the farthest end of it's motion it looks like its going to come loose again and spring open. By the way, the Haynes guide is worthless for this. I need a real expert whose dealt with this kind of trouble. I love my car but i cant drive it another night with the driver side in pieces. I held my head in shame on the ride home. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default RE: power windows for 1999 conv. v6

just an update. I replaced the motor today on a recommendation from a friend that looked at it. That was not it. But I do have a new motor now. Yay! Anyway when i was checking it out the regulator arm busted completely off. Looks like the welds gave way. So now I have to replace that. Hopefully that was the problem all along. Does anyone recommend a good online service for Mustang parts? The locals cant seem to find things fast enough. Not sure why.

Thanks

Carl
