Default installed headers have problem help please!!!!!!!!!!!

i recently installed some jba shorty headers and now at a certain point in the steering wheel it is tough to turn. i know the steering column (shaft) is rubbing . how do i fix it? it only does it when i'm turning right. can i grind a little metal off the shaft? our do i have to beat the hell out of that header?

I would beat the header. It may disrupt the flow a little bit, but I dont think you could take enough off of the steering shaft to make it clear easily, and still leave enough of the shaft to drive it safely.

New Motor mounts should fix this problem.

just put a small dent in the header tube that is rubbing on the steering shaft. I had the same problem with MAC equal length shorties too. you might need to drop the shaft to be able to make the dent exactly where it needs to be made but this is easy enough to do, just mark the tube with a marker where the dent needs to be before you drop the shaft out of the way.

Settled or old motor mounts will let these things happen.

I'd really hate to see you dent a tube for clearance. How bad is it rubbing?
