Yes put the pump on a switch and then trun the key and turn over the motro and hit switch.DOnt turn on switch beofre motor trunign because it flood ur motor again.once started just lave switch on until rdy to shut off car then just hit switch andthe car will cut off

you might have a partially clogged fuel filter.
