Don't hate the newbie, hate the search option...
I am sure it has been asked a million times but my patience is running thin. Is there a list of mods out there that a newb can look at for reference as to which area to mod first? Perhaps with a list of products? I have tried to search the forums but have not found a list of first mods, the order they should be done in (if on a budget, etc...), or what good combo's of parts are out there (CAI's, TB's, Headers, x-pipes, etc...). Again sorry for the newb question but if some one could point me in the right direction it would mean a lot as All I have done thus far is get frustrated by the number of product offerings & not knowing which to choose first. Thanks in advance.

I don't know too much about modifing modulars, but most people start with exhaust. It will give a nice sound, and a few extra horsepower. if you don't have emissions in your state get a catless (offroad) x pipe and shop ariund for a nice catback (flowmaster, bassani, magnaflow, dynomax etc.)
underdrive pulleys are a good bolt on too. they will free up another couple horsepower, but they also spin all your accesories slower. unless you are running a huge audio system, or lots of electrical accesories you shouldn't have a charging problem. for u/d pulleys look up march and bbk.
another very popular mod are aftermarket rear end gears. i believe the stock ratio is 3.08:1. Step up to 4.10's if you have a 5 speed or even 4.30's if you have an automatic. gears are not just a simple bolt on and unless you have lots of experience working on cars, i would bring it to a reputable shop for installation. they usually charge 250-300 dollars for labor and gears cost about 170 or so.
