Default vert VS. coupe

i know a vert has a weaker chassis than a coupe. how much power can a vert take compared to a coupe

well the vert and the coupe have the same drivtrain and you can mod them the same, but like already stated the vert is heavyer and a weaker chassis

how much hp and torque could a vert handle without breaking it

The same amount as a coupe. The only thing your limited by is all of your internals and stuff.

like i said the drivetrain is the same you can put out just as much hp as the coupe, its not like your going to break the car it two

I think hes refering to breaking the chassis. It wouldnt really be any weaker than the coupe. The added weight is because of the greater chassis stiffening that ford did. But with either car should have sub frames, or a frame kit installed to prevent the chassis from flexing and screwing with the geometry of the suspension and alignment.

I may be wrong, but I thought they were heavier b/c of the motor/other things involved w/ the top?

when i was putting my subrames on another mustang came up to have some exhaust work(was at a muffler shop a friend runs) anyway i went to help and i noticed that his didnt have a couple small braces that mine did. i dont think its alot though. i believe that most of the weight is because of the motor and other things involved with the top.
