When you lower a Mustang the camber goes negative.

How much you are willing to put up with is up to you.

Right now I'm on skinny winter tires. My 3deg neg, due to Eibachs and no plates, is NOT an issue for me. It actually cuts in on turns quite nicely with the neg camber.

In the summer I'm killing my wide tires big time. That alone is enough reason for plates. I'd recommend them and I'm getting some myself.

If you have 20's. I"m sure you have a wide tire. The inside treadwear will eat up a pair of front tires faster than you can say, I should have bought plates.

Yeah camber adjustment is always a good idea. Also you may want to think about some shocks later on. Stock shocks usually dont do well for long with lowering springs. But they should be fine for a little while.

http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/

Lots of great info/specs/illustrations/calibrations off the link above. I followed (most) of his advice & don't regret anything.

My only advice is to do shocks/struts, springs, isolators & c/c plates, and wait to have them all installed at the same time. The parts are reasonable & work best when you only have to do (or pay for) the labor once. If you don't already have a rear swaybar, make sure to put one on as well.

I hope you like the big rims, because they're (probably) killing your accelleration.

Steeda offered a spring/camber plate package and their springs only drop the car 1"-1.25" If you have the money it's the correct way to lower the car. Stock adjustment doesn't offer much because it's made to be used with stock components.

You should. You should also talk to a good front end man about the need for a bump steer kit.
If you are planning on mode handling mods, getting all the parts together for a one time install in definately the right way to go.
You can do springs, cc plates, bump steer, bushings, control arms, shocks and strutsyourself just by following the directions with the parts.A spring compressor is the only tool us might not have and they can be rented from a parts house. You can even set the toe close enough to drive it tothe alignment shop with the tires you intend to use.
