I recently purchased an 05 gt , and now the engine light is staying on,,,i hooked up a trouble code reader, and got nothing....anyone have any ideas?

Friend of mine got a 05 GT and had an issue with his light going on and off. He kept taking it to the dealer well everytime he tunred it off at the dealership it would turn the light off and they would get no codes. So eventually he returned to the dealership when the light came on and left it running they found out he had a bad computer. He only had the car for like 2 or 3 months when that happened.

Even though yours is staying on you may have the same problem.

+1, i have the same problem, ill turn on the car one night and the check engine light will be on, it will stay on for a a day-ish and then be off for a while, happened maybe 5-6 times since i had the car for 1 1/2 years
