Default Suspension

I have a 99 v6 and recently upgraded the wheels and tires to 245/45/17. The added height and lower profile make it ride like a tank. Im looking into completly redoing my suspension. After some looking around i came up with this combination. Billstein shocks and struts and lowering springs, prothane bushings (complete set), and 4 way adjustable caster/camber plates. How does this combination sound. I am not highly informed on suspension so i would like more knowledgeable people to inform me before i go and spend $1300. Thanks guys

Ususally your lowering spring are a higher rate then the stock springs. It will make it a little more bumpier. As for the shocks I do not know how soft a Bilstein is to make up for the added poundage of the spring.

Buy a good quality CC plate and good springs and its money well spent.

Makes the turns alot more fun to.

you really need to talk to some tech guys at a place like Steeda or Kenny Brown. they make all kinds of suspension products for all kinds of driving and can provide some very knowledgeable advice on what combination of parts will give you the ride quality you want.
If you think it rides like a tank now, wait until you put those poly bushings in there as they are much stiffer and harder and will make it ride even harder. so like I said, get some good professional advice before you just go spending your money, you will be happier in the long run if you do.

A great resource on how differences in springs/shocks/rates affects your handling...
