wiring up an electric fan

RE: wiring up an electric fan
the whole diagram is for a bosch relay.. Any other relay might not have the same internals and could cause a problem. What wire size comes on the fan part? my guess would be 12 gauge. Thats more then enough to the relay and ground. The ground switch to the relay can be any size. The constent feed I would make the same as the size thats on the fan. Same for the switced feed.
85 and 86 are interchangable. As long as one is hot and one is ground your totaly fine with it.
Most bosch relays are 30-40 Amp's. thats what you probably need. Unless it's a high load fan you shouldn't need any more

RE: wiring up an electric fan
i got it!! my neighbor helped me out and i found that i had a bad ground, and i had used the wrong wire on the fan to power it. it works like a charm now. i used a 30 amp relay, a 30 amp switch, a 30 amp fan, and 12 gauge wire. it does a good job of cooling. thanks for the help everyone. i really appreciate it!
