have a question my sister jus baught a 98 explorer 2wd with 5.0 in it i was jus wonderin this motor have the gt 40 heads n intake . but also have another question the check engine light is on and when take off has lil mess to it anyone have any idea's maybe what could be so dont have to take to shop and get charged way to much for something stupid lol .

 

Could be a number of things.

I'd say the catalytic converter is messed up though

 

thats maybe what i was kinda thinking cuz one day was gettin on it and for a suv it will move pretty good but after it smelled like rotten aggs . but sht that thing looked like has 3 converters or something one on each side where bolt up to stock headers and then a biiger one where y's to single exhaust .

 

Rotten egg smell you lead me to believe it's the converters as well. And yes they are GT-40P heads.
