1966 fastback 2+2

how do you tell if a 1966 fastback was originally a g.t. or just a 2+2. can you tell from the information plate or door plate

Look for a buck tag, should be riveted to the radiator support either behind the left or right head light. Go on line and look for a decoder and that should give the correct infomation.
