Default All these performance parts no power!

I have a 1995 gt 5.0 witht he folling mods on my sig, anyways the car seem's fast it burns through 1st gear and halfway through 2nd gear no traction, well im thinking the car should be faster witht he mods i have my buddy has a 89 5.0 and i raced him from a 45mph drop and he yanked a car length ahead of me than i started slowly pulling than he hit his brakes we were on a main blvd so cops were on mind, anyways he has edelbrock performer upper.lower, maf, t/b, shorty headers, xpipe no cats, cold air, 3:55 gears, fuel pressure regulator im thinking it should be dead even or i should be pulling for him to yank that much stumps me and upsets me (lol) maybe with all the air im moving i need a fuel regulator or maybe my cats are holding me backthe cars not loud compared to his andthey are the stock ones that have 140,000 miles on them, also my xpipe has 2 1/2 inch piping im stumped im sure you guys know how this feels so any imput on this would make my day thankyou Fellow mustang owners...

i know that the foxes are lighter and it doesnt seem like you have too much more done than he does, other than a better coil and an a/c delete, which wont give you to much in the gain department. and i may be reading it wrong but your sig says you have an x-pipe with hiflow cats, but you say you still have the stock cats on your car (which are very restricting). and are you both manuals? an auto could slow you down a little from a roll.
