Default cutouts or not?

Hey guys anyone ever run cutouts on their exhaust?? if so, have you had any problems with them leaking, and how much power did you gain with them open?? are they worth it?

the gains are not worth it.

I forget which forum I read this on yesterday, but they had someone who did cutouts and then did a dyno run to check the HP gain... and it was 2 HP.

If you like that "obnoxiously loud" sound... go for it. Just don't pretend you're doing it for the HP gain and you're fine.

I think it would be fun to have a really quiet exhaust with electric cutouts. Then when some ricer pulled up next to you and started revving, you hit the cutouts and blow out his ear drums.

It'd be coor for at least the first two or three times you did it before it got old.
