Default Transmission problems

I just installed a new clutch in my 88 gt mustang. After i got everything back put together and adjusted the clutch to the proper spot, i'm having a difficult time engaging the tranny in 2nd, 4th, and reverse. Is there any alingment that i needed to do to the transmission to prevent this or what can i do? Also there is a humming noise, possibly coming from the throwout bearing but it only makes the noise when the car is in neutral, any ideas what this is and how to fix it? I installed a brand new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, retaining bearing, and clutch cable w/ firewall adjuster. Thanks!

you need to adjust your clutch cable again, and the tb i think you have to pull the tranny again to do it..

I think you have a shifter issue.Think about it,All of the gears you are having trouble with are engaged when you pull the shifter towards you. 135
