I have a 99 Stang and the light that turns on when the door is open isn't going off, and I know it isn't the door because I've repeatedly slammed it many times. Sometimes it will randomly turn off when I'm driving but for the most part it will stay on. Any ideas? I heard that it could be a bad connection or that a wire is exposed or something...

 

probably the switch inside the door. its a common problem on these cars for it to get stuck. just spray some wd40 in the locking mechanism in the door then shut the door then open thedoor and spray some more..do that process a couple times and it should free up the stupid little thing.
