Default Stock Power?

Friday i picked up a 2004 40th Ann. Mustang convertible. Its a V6 3.8L automatic. The people from the chevy place(yes I found it at a chevy dealership) told me it has 190HP to the wheels but to make sure I went to the Ford place and thats also what they told me. Well one of my friends works at a shop and says hes dinoed a few and that they really get 140 to the wheels. How much horsepower am I getting? Also everything is stock.

they both told you wrong. you are putting out 190hp at the flywheel. you will have about a 15-20% drivetrain loss so you will dyno somewhere around 150-160 at the wheels.

Most stock split port 3.8L dyno in around 160-170 at the wheels for a 5 speed, and 150-160 for the auto.
