I really doubt that a Crown Vic will run much more than 125-130.
I got pulled over once and while one cop was searching my car I asked the other one how fast their car was. She said it was faster than a new Mustang. I thought about calling bs on her but I didn't want to get a gun planted in my car or anything like that and have to go to jail and all of the stuff that goes with that

I know for a fact that my dad did around 145 in a crown vic when he was in baltimore. An officer was down and another was calling for back up. If any of you are familiar with the area, he was on 695 (baltimore beltway).

Like I said before, they are built for top speed, not acceleration.

haha there all good stories, i was going to the local dinner with my parents in the car for easter breakfast, we passed the cop that pulled me over and he just glared at the car, i couldnt help but smile. court dates start April 14, so ill keep informed, all i know is the cheif who worked and went through the academy with my dad, came over yesterday and there trying to figure something out, looks like this cop screwed the wrongperson.
so after all this you're just going to forget about getting pulled over cause of your paternal connections?

every night before you go to bed and **** yourself off, you better say a full rosary beads worth of hail mary's and thank-you-gods for who your dad is.

First off, crown Vics aren't controllable at 160 mph. like you said before. (in fact, some older street bikes don't like to handle at those speeds.) Then, you have to get one to go that fast without the driveshaft separating from the tranny, (Ford had to govern autos back in the 90's b/c of this), or the tires exploding because they aren't rated for ****. Next you're going to tell me your old man has z-rated street slicks on a fleet maintained vehicle. And second I have out run a handful of cops out in the sticks. It's all about acceleration and knowing which roads go where. The average backwoods police chase won't break 100 mph. How are you going to do 120 when the road ends or merges right around a sharp corner. I said, most fast cars can out run Police Interceptors, it's the radio you can't outrun. Learn your ****, you have a lot more driving to do before you realize what is fast and what is not.

A kid I go to school with has a 00 Crown Vic. Today I asked him how fast it goes and he said he had it at 120 but it was really hard to drive and took forever to get there. I don't think that on a public road anybody could hold down a Crown Vic at 145

Okay try to outrun one lol. I justcalled my father whos been a cop for 28 or soyears. Currently hes chief of police of a department of about 100. In baltimore however, he worked his way up from patrol tocaptain of swat team to major. He said he doesnt know the top speed but know theyve been over 150 before.
