i have 86 stang gt thats 4 speed gonna be puttin another 5 speed in it soon . but i was jus wonderin how much power i can make out of the motor with out switchin over to mass air .

 

I'm pretty sure you can make as much as you want. Race cars don't use mass air, they use FAST which is speed density. If you are going to drive it on the street every day I would switch to mass air anyway and just build from there

 

how hard is it to switch over . gotta get new comp and everthing jus plug right in to factory plugs . and jus wonderin whats the difference , i dont know much bout fords but learning slowly usally all my cars were chevys but to me chevy motors are junk and will nickle n dime ya to death lol .i have had better luck out of fords motors then any chevy .

 

yes you will need a new computer and a mass air meter. Its much easier to tune with the stock computer using mass air until you get into the power level where you have to use a system like FAST

 

bout how much one these conversions run . or could i jus go to junk yard and maybe strip stuff off another stang . and if did that what all do i need whole wire harness or what .

 

If I were you I would go to a junk yard and get all of the mass air parts from an 89-93 5.0. You will need the mass air meter and ecu and probably several other parts.

o thats looks like could be pain n **** lol if change over might jus pay someone to do it for me i can do other sht but thats one thing i hate is wiring stuff like that my luck id hook wires in wrong places or something and fry hole damn car lol.
