Just a quick question, I'm switching my auto 98 GT to a 5spd out of a rolled donor car and was wondering do I need to switch out the computer as well? any info would be be appreciated. Thanks from Ken-tucky.

 

I don't think that you need to swap computers. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you even need a tuner, what's going to happen if the computer trys to tell the transmission to shift but it isn't there?

 

My overdrive off light flashes like crazy, no prob, just yanked the bulb. but my check engine light came on as soon as I fired it up! stays on constant. bright side is car runs fine. no missing or stalling. I think I will change the PCM its a quick change just to see what happens. Car feels like a different car now. Much more responsive. put a 3.55 in last week so it woke it up some. other than a 3" x pipe and a K&N shes bone stock. I have a set of PI heads and intake waiting in the wings.
