Default Worn motor mounts????

I have a 1997 Cobra and I now have a leak in one on the stainless steel tubes that connects to the top of the rack and pinion. It looks as if where the oil filter mounts that it has rubbed a hole in the top ot the line. Could this be caused by worn out motor mounts that have allowed the engine to sink down lower into the K member??

Default RE: Worn motor mounts????

no chance are it just rubbed and the engine does move while u drive it...

to test it pop the hood...have someone stand on the side of the car so they can see the engine..
put it in drive hold the brake..then rev the motor...if the motor moves A LOT then u have bad mounts but if its normal looking they are fine
