clunking noise/problem... Help!!!
alright yesterday i was driving back to my girlfriends house and all the sudden i let off clutch and i hear a pretty bad clunking noise behind me like around the rear end. It will only happen when im not on the pedal at all... as soon as i accelerate the least bit you dont hear it. The car drives fine doesn't vibrate any more than it ever has just has awful clunking sound somewhere in the rear. So i checked it out this morning, for the universal joint, it was fine, but the 4 bolts from driveshaft to rear end were really loose, so i loc-tited each bolt. Also checked oil in rear end and it was very low so filled it up. Sounded like it went away when i test drove it, but it came back, but not near as loud or anything and sounds a little bit different. Me and my friend put it back up on jackstands and my friend said the driveshaft would kind of stall or hang up momentarily when he spun the wheel. so then i got in the car and started it up and went through 2nd and 3rd gear so he could see outside and hear outside of the car.. he said that he thinks that maybe its a problem with the rotor making the noise on driver rear because it is very worn n grooved.. every other rotor looks good. He said that he thinks the rotor is temporarily catching on the caliper real quick. Sorry for the long post but does anyone think this is what could have happened? Just really dont want it to be anything in the rear end.. also if it helps any its a 2000 v6. thanks in advance for the help.

RE: clunking noise/problem... Help!!!
if you put oil in the diff and it quited a bit , my best bet would be the input shaft bearing <-( not sure of the corrrect term) for the diff. i had a 97 toyota truck that did the same thing, it was only when on the gas, it made an awful clunk. i changed out the bearing and it was gone.
