Can You Transfer Parts from a V6 to a V8
Hi, I bought a stock 2004 V6 Mustang Convertible and I was wondering if I buy another mustang around the same year or the same year but a GT, could I transfer things such as exhaust(flow masters), intake, etc?
I regret getting a non GT but at the time I didn't have the money to get a GT so I want to know if I can hook up my V6 for now and transfer things like exhaust, intake and anything other minor.

most of the suspension, body panels and stuff can be swapped between the gt and v6, but most the engine parts can not. i think that the whole GT exhaust (h-pipe and catback) will actually bolt up to the v6 headers though, but im not 100% positive. pretty much nothing on the engine is going to be compatible though.

when you say on the engine, do you mean the engine itself or anything under the hood that directly connects to the engine like intake? sorry if i'm asking really stupid questions, i'm still in my newbie stage.

its all good. but yeah, when i say engine, its basically anything that directly connects to the motor (intake, TB, headers) and any actual engine components like heads, pistons, and stuff like that. not too positive about alternator or radiator or anything like that though.

heads, headers, etc.. are all built for a v8, theres no way in hell they are gonna work on a v6 block thats like trying to stick a square peg in a round hole. the catback you can use, but i dont think the h pipe bolts to stock v6 manifolds actually. you can get an h pipe for a v6 but thats not gonna be found on a GT.
