Lol, what bacon said. Be prepared for some people to come in here and give you a hard time though. Posi trac is just GM's name for their limited slip differential. Ford calls theirs Trac-Lock but they are pretty much the same thing [8D]

well i have 86 also and use to pull posi all time i had autographs all over the streets lol . and then sold the car and got it back and now wont pull posi hardly for sht . there chance maybe one axles worn out of maybe gear busted in there or something .

ok im lost what ya mean throw set clutches in it . only clutch i know bout is one on motor lol . dont know much bout manaul tranny's or rear end's

The track-lok in Mustangs uses a set of clutch packs to help transfer the power to both wheels. When they wear out you end up with the whole one-wheel-peel deal (rhyming ftw, lol). You can buy rebuild kits from any parts website or store and from what I've heard they aren't toohard to rebuild. I haven't done it myself though and it's probably something I'd combine with a gear install since you have to take the rear apart anyway.
