i got and 88 Gt and i bought a 2 1/2 in flomaster exhaust for an LX, i bought the LX one cause i was told by the dealer that the only mounting difference is at the tailpipe to bumber hanger connection. but these are the only points on the exhaust that wil fit in the hanger. all the olther parts on the exhast dont match the hanger points on the car, or are missing. same with the off road h pipe, the hanger rods dont point forward in the direction that the hangers do but come up away from the pipe and both rods point inwards. a muffler shop will install in for 100 dollars, i dont know if they will tack hangers on the under body or directly tack the exhast. should i buy universal hangers and try to do it my self, and if i was to use universal hangers, hot do they work and how are they attatched to the car?

 

For 100 dollars have a shop do it, it'll be more permanent and done correctly. (assuming it's a good shop that is)

 

Ya, if you dont have the tools and know-how to do it then have a shop do it for you, plus its warenteed and your protected, win win ya know?

yeah when you dont have the right tools exuast jobs can become a nightmare i've spent a lot of time trying to get exuast out busting my knukles and wondering why I did not have a saw zaw or when puting it together wishing I had a welder
