Default tko 600 slower than t-5

I destroyed my t-5 tranni and replaced it with a tko600. will my car actually run a bit slower with the tko because of the larger, heavier internals or shouldn't there really be a difference???

Have you actually run it at a track before and after, with the exact same staging, 60', track and weather conditions?

noyou wont notice adifference, actually it might be a little quicker depending on what gear ratios you got in the trans

There's your answer right there. The TKO 600 has wider spaced gear ratios (or "taller" gears) overall so just swapping the trans without modifying the car will make asomewhat of a difference. Whether you are actually slower or not depends on where your powerband is and your rear end, etc... If your car is mostly stock I would venture to guess that it may be slightly slower but I can't say for sure or byhow much.

That TKO 600 is designed to work better with more gear in the diff.
