Yeah, sorry, the cold fusion mod isn't out yet. I hear they're making real progress with the perpetual motion mod though.

 

Gutted cats free up some power and mpg. They will make the car loud though

 

i thought taking the cats off hurts gas mileage?

but to take off the air silencer just unbolt the air box from the car and wiggle it out...this has pictures..

An off-road X-pipe might gain you a few HP, but not much, maybe 3-4. You also would probably only gain that on the top end and could lose torque down low where you really want it.

On a stock mustang, exhaust mods are pretty much for sound, not performance.

There just aren't many "cheap" mods on a 99-04 mustang that make any significant difference on performance.

Gears and n2o are the only ones I can think of for under $1000 that are really going to make a significant difference in how your car performs.

You want it to sound different, get exhaust. Just don't expect it to be any faster.
