Having issue with AOD...
Hi Guys.
I'm new to this site, and saw there are some of you who are knowledgable about AOD trannys. I own a 74 Maverick 306 ci with an '84 AOD, but the other forum I belong to doesn't seem to have many people that know about AODs. Here is my problem:
My transmission will not shift correctly. It starts out in either first or second (can't really tell) and will not go to the next gear or OD at all. Doing 30 mph down the road and engine is running at 3000 rpms, won't shift anymore. Other gears work fine, reverse, 1, and 2. But OD is not working correctly. I got the tranny from an '84 Econoline, drove the van before I bought the tranny and it shifted fine. Now, it won't work right. T.V. cable is from Lokar, and am 90% sure it's connected correctly. Help?
