Default how to replace the trans fluid?

I purchased a 01 bullit and the shifting is a little notchy, I have read people having good luck with royal purple man. trans fluid filled at 3.2 quarts. I have never done trans changes or never had a mustang.. so just curious if someone could give me a run through of how to change the trans fluid. I am mechanically inclined.. just want to make sure I do it right.

getting it out is easy. There is a drain plug. Getting it back in is more diffficult but if you go pick up a cheap plastic squeeze "pump" for $20, it's easy enough.

Some guys fill it up by taking the shifter off.

I use a 3 or 4 ft piec of hose with funnel and fill it from the engine compartment. I put a pan under the trans since when it's full (to the plug) it will drip out. From dead empty you can pre-measure what goes in, roughly, since you can look up the capacity to give you an idea.
