I have a 89 5.0, my Coil wire shorted out on my headers and now my car wont start * differnt coil * it starts ifyou run a wire from the car battry to the Coil. what could be the problem ? what could i have blewn ? I looked at it for days and couldn't find any blown fuses Please help any idea?

 

You need to trace out the hot wire from the coil to where it goes. It is definately in the wiring from the coil to the battery voltage source, since it worked when you went straight to the battery.
