Hey guys, I'm looking at blacking out my headlights and taillights on my 02 coupe. But I'm figuring I need brighter bulbs if I ever want to actually see at night when I'm driving. So is there a brighter halogen I can switch to? Or do I have to go with HIDs. Ultimately I'm just looking at the best bargain price at this point.

 

Go to a higher bulb and you can risk a melt down somewhere along your circuit or in the headlight assembly. Buy bulbs that are made to be brigter for your model or upgrade your headlights.

 

So can I just go to a local auto parts store or is that something I'd have to go thru Ford for?

 

My were just fogged over so i tried brighter bulbs... Silverstars... it helped a little but not much... i finally had to replace the headlamps though...

 

It's illegal to drive with tinted headlights at night. And if it's not it should be

Buy some plexiglass tinted covers instead that go over the headlight but you can remove them at night
