Default front end paint

I am buying a new bumper for my 1989 mustang gt convertible. How much would you estimate the cost to be for me to have it painted. It will be painted a dark gray on top and a light gray on bottom. It is a two tone paint scheme.

thankx for the help.

I just had a cobra grill insert painted. It ranged from 46$ to over 200 for that little piece. So shop around but as with most things you get what you pay for. Pay alittle more now and be happy later.

I just did my own over winter, all the prep and body work. THere may be more work hidden under you paint than you think. I just paid $50 to get it painted.

with a 2 tone paint job with prep, you may be looking a hefty price, dont just go to the cheapest shop and get it done, the front bumper cover takes a lot of abuse, (rocks, debris etc) from driving, if its not done correctly, the paint will chip and peal and then you will be paying to get it done again so be careful and research so you know and can ask the body shops how they plan on painting it, it will be better in the long run!!!!( i work at a body shop by the way, been prepping my stang for new paint all day)

Yeah, make sure wherever you take it to, put a flex agent in the paint or else she'll crack up like no tomorrow.

flex agent in the primer and clear too. It's amazing how many shops don't do that.

It will also be cheaper if you can drop off the bumper and let them get to it when they can. They will probably do it cheap for cash and they don;t have to keep your car sitting around........maybe do some of the prep work yourself too.
