factory timing setting??

Default factory timing setting??

im sure this has been said a few tomes over here ...but i have an 88 5.0 and i wanted to find out the factory timing ...is it 10*? please help mine is is set at like almost 14and its runnig crappy...thanks.

btw ...i just bought it and trying to work out the kinks...thx again

The stock setting is 8-10. It was set to 14 to give it more pick up and pull more rpm's. I would keep it at 14 only if you are going to use 93 octane. Try setting it to 12 otherwise.

Your car is not running crappy because of the ignition timing.
10 or 14 deg will not change the running quality. Look elsewhere.

As for 14 deg and 93 octane. If it's not detonating, don't waste your money.
