Default Smoother Shifts?

I have noticed that in the mustangs I have drivin that when tryin to speed shift it feels like when I hit the midpoint of each shift like the shifter stops then slips into gear, is there anyway I can make it to where it shifts much smoother?

That's the synchronizer matching the speed of your speed gear to the drive gear. Once they match it slips in like nothing.

You probably noticed it more on short shifter cars.

My personal favourite is aftermarket shifter for the stops and positive action but use the stock handle or length the new one.

smoother shifting = aftermarket shifter.
