Suspension Inquiry

Lol,u can really tell there's a reason I'm asking questions, huh. The underside of your car looks fantastic btw. What rearend is that, and did it come with that differencial cover? Please explain why this improves ride quality as well. I prefer to learn things when i ask a question.

i have to focus my cash on other areas first.
Well thats understandable, but I still wouldn't mind getting a little more info about what the rearend does, because i really dont know, or understand how that would help ride quality.
I May have this wrong here but upper and Lower control arms help stiffen up the rear endkeeping it from "Swaying" Side to side next time you are driving down the road move the steering wheel back and forth fast enough that you stay in your lane. notice how it feels loose in the back end? Now I may be wrong here but thats what the upper and lowers help reduce....Along with a good sawybar. From what I have read and heard most people start with the upper and lowers THEN swaybar ,subframes and work forward.

Go to a Higher sidwall and thinner tire 225 60`16`s (If you have a 16 inch rim this should give you a little better ride and still make the car look half decent Your not going to get it much softer than it is[
] I Used to have a 97 Camaro and the mustang rides like a dream compared to it. Remember you don`t have to buy NEW. there are lots of 75% tread left tires out there.

Get her another car. The only way to make your car ride on a cloud would be to go buy an IRS setup out of a new edge Cobra, and put some generic van/suv shocks on your car. <--- Highly unreasonable and not worth it even if you had the $
The Solid axle is what houses your diff, gears, and axles. The wheels connect to the axles, which connect to a central gear set inside the diff(which is what that shiny diff cover in that pic is covering). The driveshaft spins this entire setup from the transmission. This is all called your driveline.
I hope this somewhat clears up your confusion and questions

LOL she actually has the cool car in the family. She's the one with the 68 mustang, an she has never really complained. My GTdoes bounce around a lot though, and compared to my moderate knowledge on engines, I was completely in the dark about suspensions, but now i realize it'd be easier to buy another car than it would to "fix" the mustang. I had kinda assumed that anyway, but I just wanted to make sure. Just about everyone here has more expierience than me. lol. Appreciate the lesson, USM. I guess we'll just have to get a family car sometime soon.
