engine conversion(changed)
from what i remember, the paxton kits are some of the lower end kits. kits like vortech are gonna run you around $3500 i think, and then install and tune and all that. a decent supercharger setup, install, tune, and supposrting mods is probably going to end up costing close to $5k if everything is done correctly.
i have more torq then hp is there a way to mod my engine to have more hp then torq(,,,,300ho and 225lb torq)instead of 300 torq and 225hp
not really....there isnt a magic mod that will switch those numbers around. but you want both numbers to be high. personally, torque is where its at. look at all these small honda engines and stuff that are pushing over 200hp out of a 4cyl, but tq numbers in the low 100's...they are still slow. There is an old saying somwehere that goes something like "horsepower sells cars, torque wins races"
yea i think 1 of the most awsomest engines is the twin turbo 800lbs torq with 400 hp... (banks engineered)
is intake manifold a good choice as a upgrade for a stock engine i want a all out race manifold .. that giverv me more rpms (8000 cool)

i dont think that a manifold is going to allow you to rev higher, just allows some more air into the engine. they usually give you around 15-20rwhp, depending on brand and everything. but you also have to remember that you cant force air into your engine any faster than you can move it out either. so even if you have a very high flow manifold, its not going to make much more power than a middle of the line mani. if you have TB, heads, and exhaust that flow better also, then the higher flow manifold is going to show more performance gains.
im thinkin of geting a ignition box with programmable rpm limit and the manifolds power range is like 3500-8000
5000 for a supercharger and 50 hp dosnt sound like a plan ....i dont like forced induction as much as i like natural ........i may go turbo says it will give my engine 400 hp at least my question is will my engine last last

Having gobbs of HP & TQ are only good to brag about if you can't use it. To have a high horsepower car without a well engineered suspension will just be a waste. Read the related threads below, the 5.0 section and everything you can get your hands on. HP = cubic $$. You don't want to waste them. Is smog legal a consideration? Are you planning to drive the car on the street, or will it be a race car? Different plans.
If you want a lot of power, go with good heads, cam, injectors (or carb.)and intake along with a complete hi performance exhaust. That could get you 350 hp pretty easy. Stroke it to 347 or bigger and see 450 hp. Next improve the suspension so you can get the power down to the pavement. Its just money.

overall i don't want to change the (cubic in) and its both a street and track car mostly track tho
i was just looking at the superchargers and 5k isnt what im looking to pay if im ony going to make 50 more hp
i want to get around 150hp if i supercharge if not better .....im thinking i have to tune the engine correct me if wrong to bring the supercharging hp to a high level

if you think 2,000-2,500 is alot for a good blower set up you need to look around. Im friends with a lot of GM guys and one paid 5K for his procharfer on his camaro and another one was looking for one for his GTO but after seeing the prices backed out so now hes putting a full exhaust in which is going to cost him about 2,000. You will get more than 50 hp out of a supercharger you can turn up the boost and make 200+ hp from the same blower but your going to start breaking stuff. I suggest heading over to the 5.0 tech section and start reading lots and lots of threads before making any purchases
don't know where you are from, but if smog laws there aren't too tough, you can have a 450 hp 302 that you can drive on the street.
good heads, cam & intake for about $3K or less. AFR 185's with some porting, + eddlebrock RPM + an aggresive grind from comp cams (check out trick flow or eddlebrock for a complete setup). good exhaust about $1k + an MSD ingition, then hit it with some nitrus.
you will have more than $5K in it with if a shop does the work, but it will make HP. you will go fast but not quick if you only smoke the tires.
OR-
an 8 to 10 psi vortec S/C will cost $3500+ and you can install yourself. then fix the suspension to handle the power.
save some $$ and start with the rest of the above. you can end up with a hell of a ride.
you will learn to stay home alot cause you won't have any money to buy gas. have fun!
