wheel spacers throwing off front end?

wheel spacers throwing off front end?
I have an 04 GT with the o4 cobra wheels. The problem came whenI put on the strange coilovers. The tire rubs the adjustment screw. I through on a set of 7/32 wheel spacers and now it seems that my wheel balancing is WAY off. It's barely drivable on the highway. Is this a common problem or is it my wheel itself off balance?

So, you're putting wheel spacers on the FRONT wheels? Good luck with that. A lot of people get wobbles & bad handling when doing that.
It would seem wheel spacers are best left on the rear wheels only.

Then you're gonna have to get rims with different offsets or convert your suspension back to stock.
Maybe if you took your car to a tire shop with the spacers attached they might be able to balance it for you..

I also am against the use of wheel spacers but if you must.
Remove them. Clean the rotor to wheel surface with a wire brush. Do the same for both sides of the wheel spacer and the inside of the rim.
Any flaw in the surface, be it dirt or tolerance in the wheel spacer is amplified at the tread. Remember trigonometry. A 0.040" flake of rust near the hub can make the treadsurface a quarter inch out.
Just raise the front and spin the tires. Watch the tread surface for runout.
BTW. Spacers on the rear can have the same issues too but you will not feel the shaking as much in the rear. Even though it's still there.

I have a 88 gt, I just put spacers on the front and I having a thumping when I first take off in the morning... It seems to go away after tires warm up. The tires are new along with rims. Would that be tires or could it still be a similar issue with spacers?
