just a fyi, unless you get a lower intake the truck intake is too tall for the 94-98 hoods, only way it will fit is with a much taller hood! !
also 5.4's can be found on ebay, just search for f150 engines,
i am curious since the 4.6 and 5.4 is so similar do all the wiring just swap over or is it going to need more electrical work,
i would assume if the engine did just swap in a tuner could make the 4.6 pcm work on the 5.4!

I didn't think they produced the F150 with DOHC 5.4? I found 1 block on ebay under "DOHC 5.4" but when i checked it out it was only a SOHC longblock. :/
As for the wiring I was planning on doing a whole ECU swap if necessary. Probably would considering it uses Coil-on-Plug system.
One more question is whether or not the money into it would be worth the hp over a 4.6 DOHC? I want to make 400HP or more before anykind of F/I.
Any chance they are making a 2009 4.6 DOHC XD.
This is all part of my SN95 overhaul. If anyone has links to pics of 1994-2004 Sn95 5.4 conversions and perfomrance specs (not Cobra Rs), I would very much like to see them. This is step one to get me motivated to do the rest. Engine, Tuned suspension with independent rear and possibly front, and major body work(widened fenders with low rise spoiler, set low and agressive. looking to make new front rand rear bumpers and sideskirts with outlets.) Basically bring it to stand up and beat down newsports cars in performance and style.Long, expensive project but I think it'll be worth it
