For the cost, how about going with a new car...
I'd be willing to bet it would cost over $20,000. I'd be cheaper to built up your 3.8L than swap in a different motor.

otherwise it would be much easier to drop in a termy motor.

the motor would end up being the cheapest part. you would have to nut out everything todo with the suspension, put in a new rear end, stiffen up the chassis etc. the parts alone will cost the same as the motor then the labour would be insane.
sell the 6er, put that money towards getting a gt then get a crate engine from sean hyland or blue oval industries or another reputable builder,
with a gt the suspension will still need work to handle rude amounts of power but not as much

Ok then I'm open to other options, the only reason i dont want to get another car is because this ones paid off and theres already some work done to the body. Has anyone heard from or dealt with supersix motorsports i have been looking at their stage 3 power pack upgrade as an option as well as a P1sc supercharger and a few other thingsand wont be near as expensive as the shelby motor. I'd be happy if I can squeeze 400hp or damn close to it. Any suggestions, and besides i've done some looking on used GT's and my car still has less mileage on it than the ones i've found so far.

Check out one of the threads a the top of the V6 section. People have listed their mods and what kind of power was seen from them. Also, on V6power.net, the dyno page has mods, hp/tq and quarter mile times listed. Good info to learn from.
