Default 351w

hi. i have a 351w block that i want to build for my 90 mustang. its a factory 2 bolt i think it is out of a truck. where would i find out about this block and whats the max hp i could run out of it. i plan on better rods and crank and puttin in a girdle

i don't think you could over max a 351w. ive seen them push well over 350 with mostly stock internals. from factory the 351w 4 barrel came with approx 290 just to give you an idea.

well the 302 is good to like 500ish... the 351w blockwill be fine its the bottom end the will hold you back

you can build the **** out of a 351w but the weak point is the block. most 351w blocks can only handle around 600hp. but you can girdle the lifter valley and the caps so i dont see why they could not handle 650-700hp. i am building a 408 that will have around 600 all motor and plan on sprayin it with a 200 shot of juice. just make sure you gridle the lifter valley and main caps if you plan to be over 600hp..
