I drive a 02 v6. Will I see any noticeable decrease in MPG with a performance tune? They say they make the engine more efficient but does that "efficiency" cause a drop in MPG?

Yes your MPG will be affected. If you're doing a mildpremium/high octane tune, maybe your MPG won't change a lot,, but you'll be paying a $$$$ lot more for the fuel itself.. [:@]

You might notice an increase in mileage, I know I did when I started running a custom tune.

..do you mean witha "premium octane" customtume?

I have a 2000 v6 with an SCT xcal3...power goes up with a premium fuel tune but there tends to be engine knock. gas milage is slightly less but that's mostly attributed to more aggressive driving since there's a lot more power with the custom tune. if you get engine knock, pull back the spark timing 3 degrees and it should go away.
