Default paint/body work

i want to get my car painted. also, it has a bunch of little dings throughout the car. The paint was a cheap paint job the previous owner had done...not a great shine and if you look at yourself in it, even when clean, you can't even make anything out. If go to a body shop, can they get all the minor dings and such out? They are really little, but being a black car, they show easily.

If so, how much will this and/or a really good paint job that will give me a great shine cost?

thanks in advance.

Paint is as good as the prep work for the paint. The shop may be able to sand down your orange peel and whatever else is wrong then clear it... MAY be able to.

If you still wana rock the black paint and realy ROCK it. Save up for a good shop to do it for you. Its not like you have to worry about oriognal paint any more.

the mirror "shine" has nothing to do with the quality of the paint. you can use a cheep nason clear coat and spray that flat as glass and it will have a mirror shine with some wet sanding and buffint NOW if you use a good clear like i did on my truck, ppg dcu 2042 which is almost 300 a gallon, that shine wont go away after a couple of months of not waxing or anything liek that. just remember you get what you pay for, ive learned on ppg products and i trust and have used them on project "screaming diesel"
