Default (very) Easy, cheap mods

Hi, I have a 1994 mustang GT, that is completely stock until my Cobra R wheels come on July 7th.

I'm looking for some easy and cheap mods that I could do to it and always revert it back to stock if I wanted to sell it some day.

If you have any ideas please post them I am not a very mechanical/technical guy (at least yet). So please be easy on me.

Thanks,
Brian

Reomve the Intake silencer in the fender(connected to the air box). Go to your auto store and pick up a k&n filter. Or you could order an ebay cold air intake for about $45.(That's what I did andit worked good). Witha timing light you can adjust you timning from stock 10 degrees to 13 degrees.(Of course you will have to run at least 91 octane). Cleanout your mass air flow sensor with electrical spray cleaner. The sensor wire becomes dirty easy. You can also remove themass air flow sensor screen. And finally buy a cat-back exhaust kit from Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Bassani, etc. These are a few inexpensive mods to get you started

Thank you NoGo, I think all of those things sound pretty easy to do and low-cost.

Mainly appearance mods, but easy performance mods like NoGo suggested are definitely accepted

I thought about things like a billet gas tank but it seems a bit expensive - like $109.99 on AmericanMuscle.com. I don't know what those things run in price or if that's the only place for them.

if you are looking for performance mods, in the 5.0 section you can check out the stickies there is a tech article in there called "first mods list". Its definitely something worth checking out for any new mustang owner looking to make some cheap improvements.

+1. And you can also do the free mods suggested above. Search for more free mods on google and see what else you think you can do. Every little thing counts(performance and apperance wise).

I picked up a fiberglass hood at a Fun Ford Weekend event for only $270.00,It is a 4" cowl for my 99 GT. Its on the car! Cant wait to get it painted. Better than $500.00 they are advertised in the magizines. http://www.championfiberglassproducts.com is there web site.
