A/C Temperature
Anyone know what temperature the air coming out should be on the a/c settings? I was wondering how well mine was working so I stuck a thermometer in the vent the other day. It read 50 degrees when the car was idling or at low rpm driving and down to 40 degrees at interstate speeds.

I don't think there's a specific temp but rather 35-40 degrees colder than ambientbut not lower than40 F, whichever comes first. If it's real hot out, say 110 F then 60 F coming out of the vents is perfectly fine.

RE: A/C Temperature
A friend of mine works for Honda and he told me my mustang air temp at the vent should be around 50 degrees!! I too thought mine was not cooling good but here in H town it's 100 degrees and the ac takes a while to cool the car he said the same about outside temp also. but if it's warmer than 50 degrees I'd get it checked out

RE: A/C Temperature
Ambient temp was in the upper 90's. After sitting in the sun all day the temp read 140 degrees in the car and went down to 50 pretty quick when the air was turned on. Guess it's working good then.
