Default rewinding an alternator?

ok i searched and didnt find the answer, i recently bought a tauras electric fan for 10$ and dont wanna buy a new alternator, so someone told me i could rewind the one i have for more amps? just wondering if this were true or not... enlighten me please

You won't be able to do it yourself.

The time, labor and research you'll have to do....Why do you need a bigger alternator anyways?

i dont wanna do it myself i just was just wondering if its possible, i want a bigger alternator because the fan i bought uses to much power so i need to upgrade

You can have it done, but I believe it's well over 200 bucks to have it done.
