Default IAC Sensor

I have a 2005 mustang gt. By any chance does anyone know if the IAC sensor (idle air control sensor)is built into the throttle body. The dealer just charged be 530.00 to replacethe throttle body on my car becasue I had an idleing problem it defect was theIAC sensor. They claimed that the throttle body had to be replaced to fixthis. Just checking becasue I think they are trying to get over on me. Thanks.

Don't know for sure about the 05 but, the IAC is a valve not a sensor and is normally mounted to the throttle body.

IAC is a prettyeasy swap out on the 99-04 models, not sure about the 05's.......

If it is in anyway similiar to the common IAC issues on 99-04's, and was NOT a throttle body issue at all, (ie. only the IAC), then they might have got one over on you. But I DO NOT KNOW that the IAC is as simple to replace on the 05 and up models....
