Default 1997 GT having problems with d-side door?

I just got this car over the weekend and I noticed that when the door is completely shut and the window up, there is a crack at the back, top part of the window. It doesn't go up into that channel. Then I went and tried to shut the p-side door and it doesn't do it, it shuts like a charm. However the d-side door when I try to shut it, I have to give it more force than the other side. It seems like it might be 'nicking' the door latch before it actually catches. I've heard these can be prone to this, but I didn't notice it at the time.

Is there anyway to adjust the door to correct this?

Not really. In the other thread I asked specifically about the windows. This thread is about lining up the door correctly because the body lines are not matching up correctly and it is not shutting properly either.

but its all based off the same problem. a window off track can cause you to have problems shutting the door.

honestly, take off your door panels and check it out.
